Yahoo! Buzz was Launched by Yahoo in the beginning of this year with a motive of overtaking Digg in terms of Traffic and popularity and it has worked out pretty well!!
TechCrunch reports state that, Yahoo! Buzz has a different system of publishing stories. In yahoo Buzz, The front-page stories are carefully chosen and handpicked by Yahoo! Buzz’s editorial team unlike Digg, Where an automatic process is involved using some complicated algorithms which takes care of everything!
Yahoo! Buzz is not like Digg, which provides u a sudden boost of traffic only for a short duration, but it sends a traffic storm which lasts longer, which may not be possible for your server to handle!! Make sure u have any VPS or a powerful server if you are thinking of adding your site in Yahoo! Buzz !
