Sales and Marketing for Generation Y – Go Digital and Virtual Thinking
Enter stage left, or at least from the lounge to the left, my daughter 20 years, Amy, a college student and blogger. It works almost like an inmate of the Mother Nature Network (MNN). MNN has assembled a group of university students across the country to blog about green projects, businesses and community activities.
I had suggested that the statistics of local research and behavior to compile these data in a blog post about treble the amount of fuel wasted each day traveling by car. I felt that my suggestion sounds like a lot of work, the estimate of hours of research for a modest but very interesting blog entry.
Naturally, I asked him what he thought would be a better idea (though unlikely that it could not be better than that offered by its executives and tourists older than 25 years of technology sales and marketing veteran). I interview in his office and show readers how people could be more environmentally friendly, they worked from home.” I shook my head, muttering something to the effect that I thought his idea was very good. However, just between you and me, your idea sounds much better, much easier and, unfortunately, probably thought about it much faster.
Then I did an interview for a simple page script she created. The result was very effective. She has done a blog entry better, more efficient material at a very, very short. Generation Y is a digital generation, probably the first group to not forget to say “phone” comes from a series of revolving turntable to make a call, or that television stations have used to dial to change the channel. All of them are digital and think differently than the baby boomer generation. From a B2B perspective, which means web meetings, no meetings at the hotel. From a marketing perspective, this means that networks of short, point, electronic and social central. I think cloud computing, client server, which Kindle Do not store the book and I think the DVR, not VHS. And finally, try to think in a nonlinear way to a new world that you can find almost any snack at the touch of a button and the button can be a virtual button on the screen of the iPhone.
